Unexpected Inspiration - Machinations, Op. 3.

Musical composition seems to be my bag at the moment.  Last Friday (17 March) we went to a concert of Beethoven, Haydn and Prokofiev music.  Fantastic! (Well, the Haydn was drab by comparison with the rest.)

The big surprise was the Prokofiev — absolutely marvelous.  This is not the sort of music I would rush out to buy but it was a thrilling ride.  The orchestra obviously had fun playing it and it was fascinating to see the frantic activity and the almost mechanical movements of the players.  It was a piece full of surprise and humour.

Well, I was inspired!  Hence, the new creation below.  I've called it Machinations for reasons that will be obvious when you hear it. I wonder what images it puts in your mind...
